Having free space lets us work more efficiently. The absence of clutter gives off a neat look which results in us working better. This simple fact is not restricted to our physical work; it also applies to our computer and internet experience. Having more space to work with is just better.
Firefox users can now improve their browser based on the abovementioned fact by using a great Firefox add-on titled Compact Toolbar Buttons. This little add-on decreases the in-between spaces of your toolbar buttons. Here by toolbar buttons, we mean the back, forward, stop, refresh, and home buttons.
Here is how the buttons on our Firefox looked prior to using the add-on:

Now have a look at the effect Compact Toolbar Buttons had:

The difference is quite noticeable.
If you want the buttons to occupy even lesser space, you can right click on the main toolbar, and enter customize:

With an increasing number of people already shifting to Windows 7, numerous bug fixes, tips, tools, and utilities are being found/made. Today, we are going to go over some utilities which work with Windows 7 as well as Windows Vista. Readers who use either system will surely benefit from all of these. Also take a look at some Useful Windows 7 Applications which we posted in the past.
1- Fix Internet Explorer

This utility is fixes the crashes of Internet Explorer and ensures smooth browsing operations. The utility comes compressed in a small ZIP archive of which the contents you can simply extract and use. Make sure to close all open Internet Explorer windows before running the utility.
Fix IE Utility can be downloaded from here and has been tested on Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8.
2- Prevent Deletion Of Important Files

Novice users have more than once deleted important system files. The deletion of these files corrupts the operating system and the only viable solution to solve the corruption is the reinstallation of the operating system. Of course the best cure is prevention, hence this utility. Prevent (version 1.0) is a freeware application which runs on all Windows.
This freeware prevents cutting, pasting, copying, deleting, copy to, move to, send to, and renaming functions. Installing Prevent on your system means that your files will never be tampered with, especially not your system files.
Prevent can be enable/disabled by assigning it hotkeys which smoothens functionality.
3- Ultimate Windows Tweaker
Ultimate Windows Tweaker is an unbelievably small (~345 KB) utility which does not require any installation whatsoever. Despite its minuscule size, it has over 150 tweaks i.e. ways to enhance the performance of your Windows.

The Windows Tweaker can be downloaded directly from here. Any Windows user will surely find this utility to be extremely beneficial; the improved system performance will be clearly noticeable.
4- Windows Access Panel
Windows Access Panel is your one stop to access all important aspects of your Windows. Here is how the panel looks like:

To access the objects/utilities listed in the panel, one would need to access the Control Panel first and then be able to adjust/modify the settings. However, with the help of the Access Panel, all you do is click on the relevant icon to be taken directly to the settings you want to change.
The icons listed in the screenshot of Access Panel pasted above show only few of the 48 programs of which the shortcuts are available on the panel. Displaying them makes access all the more easier for the user.
Windows 7, something which is way better than Vista (I hate Vista) – speedwise and supports almost every thing. Most of the users (like myself) have shifted or are being shifted to Windows 7 gradually. There are many awesome windows 7 applications, almost all the major ones already have their own versions which are for windows 7 only. I’ve compiled here a small list of Windows 7 applications that you will definitely like, some of these applications are new and are in beta phase (which you can also participate in the testing and development), rest have their final versions, so on and so forth.

Usually, people like me (when searching for a particular thing), have to open different links simultaneously to get what we need, so we have to go for the basic process which includes opening them individually. Here’s a firefox addon that saves you some time in doing so. It’s call “Multi Links”, a nifty addon which lets you open, copy or bookmark multiple links at the same time.

All you need to do is, simple right click & hold to drag a box around your required links, when you release, it will automatically open (in a new tab), copy and bookmark those links which is the default option and you can change it to your requirements. You can also fully customize the look of these links through colours, border styles etc.
You can select groups of links in different areas of the page by using the shift or ctrl keyboard keys. This comes in handy if you want to open #1,2,3,4 and 7,8,9,10 in Google missing out #5 & 6 for example. You can either drag a box around them all and then use shift or ctrl to deselect #5 & 6 or select #1,2,3 & 4 and then hold shift or ctrl and draw another box around #7,8,9 & 10.

Apple does bring the best out of lots of things but since I’m a guy who doesn’t want to bore people up with long descriptions etc, I’ll skip that. Bottom line, have gathered a great list of softwares for Mac (design) users, most of these are free, some offer trial periods and vice versa. I hope you’ll enjoy and find something that can be helpful to you in any manners.
1- Just Looking (Photo Viewer) – Free

JustLooking, an image viewing program for Mac OS X. JustLooking is designed to be used instead of the “Preview” application on your computer for browsing most image file formats. In particular, it has the following differences:
It focuses on files and directories instead of lists of files. Thus, once you load a file, you can easily navigate through all other files in the same directory.
It displays images at their native resolution instead of interpreting DPI information stored in the image meta-data. While images are printed at the maximum resolution possible, on screen they are displayed pixel-by-pixel.
Being designed more for viewing of Images, it properly shows animated GIF files.
The entire program can easily be manipulated and powered by simple keystrokes for a quick and pleasant viewing experience.
There is support for printing, image resizing, saving to a few key image formats, and displaying of all image info.
