There are a lot of tools, scripts and addons which can make your stay at facebook more fun and a bit less comprehensive. From downloading whole facebook albums to posted videos, these tools cover almost everything. I’ve combined a list of the tools that are actually helpful, skipped the spam. Lets take a look at those.

1- Simple Photo Uploader {Download}

Simple Photo Uploader is a nifty desktop application for facebook that makes uploading of your pictures much easier. After installation, you can upload your pictures by the simple drag and drop method, just select the album you want to upload to and it will do the job. It also gives you the ability to tag those photos.

2- ScrapBoy {Download}

ScrapBoy is another great desktop application for facebook that lets you do almost everything related to facebook. With features like, using a single window on your desktop to write wall posts, view photos or Facebook chat, opening and viewing multiple friends`walls, photo albums and chat windows at the same time, better facebook chat interface, Instant pop-up notifications for newly detagged/deleted photos, Instant Notifications & much much more. A must have for any facebook lover.

3- FacePad {Firefox Addon – Download}

I have been using FacePad for some time now, it’s a great firefox addon that lets you download your friends’ facebook and event albums, with the click of a button. Nothing fancy or technical.

4- Advanced Wall {Install}

Advanced wall is also another facebook application that I’ve installed lately. Instead of posting messages through the default options, you can post images, images, graffiti, videos, flash, change text size and color, along with many other things using the simple WYSIWYG editor.

5- Facebook Toolbar {Firefox addon – Download}

The Facebook Toolbar is a cool firefox addon which gives you the ability to extend your Facebook experience into your everyday browsing. It features a search box, notifications, an icon which lets you check out your friends’ profile pictures and statuses, along with convenient links for interacting with them on Facebook, a Share button which lets you share the page that you are currently browsing by sending it to friends or posting it to your profile, etc.

6- Task Master {Install}

Task Master lets you manage your tasks more efficiently. You can add tasks, categorize, prioritize and add a due date. You can add these tasks in any specific category, the interface organizes it all, automatically.

7- Friends Organizer {Install}

I found this neat application which did a put a smile on my face. Since (/scratches head) I have my friends &  family alongwith the people I haven’t met (Social media) are in my facebook, it’s sometime difficult to differentiate.  Friends Organizer however is a nifty application which lets you sort your contact list into groups, like schoolfriends, work friends, social media friends etc.

8- Last.Fm Music {Install}

Last.Fm music application is for all those people who love music & ofcourse Last.fm. This application sorts all your friends by musical taste and turn your ‘favorite music’ into a playlist of full-length tracks. You can compare your music with friends, listen to their playlists, and put a grid of artist and album images on your profile.

9- Graffiti {Install}

Graffiti is a fun based application for facebook which lets you draw on your friends wall instead of writing. I personally like this one since I’m already drawing on MSN instead of writing much =).

10- Facebook Mobile {Install}

Facebook Mobile is a fantastic application used by loads of users. It gives you to the ability to upload photos and notes from your camera phone straight to Facebook. You can also receive and reply to Facebook messages, pokes and Wall posts using text messages, or use your phone’s mobile browser at m.facebook.com. The Mobile application page displays mobile photos recently uploaded by your friends and a phonebook that you can use to look up your friend’s phone numbers.
